ABOUT THE ARTIST
I paint the places where perception, connection and the self begin to shift. My work often starts with a single point of focus — a light, a figure, a gap, a line — and builds outward until an internal state becomes something physical. I’m less interested in explaining what a painting means than in creating enough space for the viewer to find their own way into it.

The One

This piece blends cold moonlit tones with warm shadowed light to create a cinematic, mysterious mood. The circular format enhances the feeling of looking into a hidden moment — a scene that appears both intimate and otherworldly. This painting is an exploration of the invisible threads that tie us to one another and the profound loneliness that occurs when those threads are ignored or misunderstood. We often move through the world feeling entirely isolated, carrying experiences, thoughts, and depths that others fail to see.

Baseline

Baseline is about finding the point beneath the noise — the place where focus returns and your own voice becomes easier to hear. The colours move between intensity and calm, holding both distraction and direction in the same space.A painting about noise, focus, and finding your voice again.A circular forest opens onto a vivid red horizon, framed by deep teal foliage and softened by a pale green-blue sky. The contrast between the cooler upper tones and the intense red ground creates a sense of tension between stillness and movement, while the trees pull the eye inward toward the quieter space at the centre.

Distraction

Distraction is about that instinct. The moon represents the things that constantly pull our attention away from what is already around us: ambition, material goals, distant possibilities, and the endless pursuit of something brighter or more impressive. The trees, by contrast, represent what is close, present, and alive — the parts of life that are often ignored precisely because they are familiar. The painting reverses the usual idea of “not seeing the forest for the trees.” Here, the distraction is not the trees. It is the moon.A painting about attention, presence, and the risk of losing yourself while chasing what shines in the distance.

Illusion

Illusion is about how perception changes when we stay in the same place and keep looking at something for too long. A problem, desire, fear, or hope can begin to feel larger, closer, more beautiful, or more threatening simply because our attention keeps returning to it.The trees and forest represent what remains relatively constant. The changing appearance of the moon reflects movement, perspective, and the way our own perception shifts over time. What we focus on can change in scale without the thing itself necessarily changing.A painting about perspective, fixation, and remembering that what feels bigger may sometimes be our perception moving rather than reality itself.

Primal

I began this painting without a final vision. I chose red not to represent romance or love, but for its deeper connection to life force, primal power, physical stability and darkness.
As the painting developed, it began to remind me of the goddess Kali—destruction, the movement of time, and our awareness that life is always changing. As always, the goal is for you to find your focus point in this painting and feel it the way you choose to connect to it.
